Get started in the sidebar tracks four steps. They take about twenty minutes together, and you can stop after any of them.

1. Name your business

The name customers see on your help site and above the chat window. Done when you created the business, so this one is already ticked.

2. Write your first answer

Pick the question you answer most often and write the answer once. Two paragraphs is plenty — you are writing for a customer in a hurry, not for a manual.

This is the step that matters. airys can only answer from what you have written, so an empty help site means an agent with nothing to say.

Already have help articles in Zendesk, Intercom or Help Scout? Bring them across instead of starting from a blank page — see “Bringing in a help center you already have”.

3. Ask it yourself

Type your question the way a customer would and watch airys answer from the article you just wrote. Nobody outside your team sees this — it happens in the Lab.

If the answer comes back wrong or thin, the article is the thing to fix, not a setting.

4. Connect where customers reach you

Two ways in:

  • Website chat — paste one line of HTML into your site.

  • Support email — forward your support address to the address airys gives you.

Either one is enough to go live. You can add the other later.

After the checklist

Nothing here is permanent. Articles can be edited, the widget can be removed with one line, and the plan you are on is whatever you choose at Settings › Plan & billing.
